The Battle of the Badges - Allen Texas

This was the scene outside the Home Depot at 9:00 AM, on the morning of September 29th. The Blood Mobiles were lined up and the staff and Rotarians were ready.

Home Depot Store Maanager, Adam Swenson and Allen Sunrise President, Scott Sutherland display the Battle Of The Badges Trophy which goes to the winner.
The first donor, Officer Tim Logan, casts the first ballot. Jon English, (Allen Sunrise), Michael Gonzalez, Carter Rep, Charles Beard, Chip Snyder, & Barton Black (Allen Noon) offer advise.

Some of the gifts in cluded a free desert from Ralph & Kacoos; a Carter pad and pen; & not shown; a discount card from the Premium Mall, a Carter Tote Bag and a Battle of the Badges T shirt.

They are joined by Rotarian Barton Black (Allen Noon) and all three give the Blood Drive a resounding "thumbs up".

Carla Love, in her office at the rear of the Bloodmobile, fills out a questionaire for all of the prospective donors.
The Bloodmobiles filled quickly and remained active all day. Tiffany Eulenberg, Joseph Morgan and Susan Hiull are being preped for a donation.

The crowd at The Home Depot was very responsive and the "back door" entrance kept opening and closing all day.
David Harvey is very relaxed as he donates. Ashley checks during the proceedure to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
James Whitley, Allen Fire Rescue, tells Troy Brakefield, Community Editor for the Allen American, that the Fire Fighters will win because "we don't give tickets".
Meanwhile rotarian Chip Snyder (Allen Noon) prevents Office Jeff McGee from making off with the Battle of the Badges Trophy.
The Slogan on the Bloodmobile put the day's activities into prospective:"It's About Life".
